Cattle farm De Wildakker in Epe, the Netherlands
The farm and its location
This beautiful farmhouse dates from 1836 and forms part of the large Tongeren estate, one of the oldest and most famous in the Netherlands. The estate has been described as ‘a huge park, where man has managed to create an almost
flawless landscape with every tree and bush perfectly positioned’. The farm is surrounded by woodland and muchwildlife can be seen from the tents, including red deer, wild boar and badgers.
The Farm is home to a suckler herd of Limousin Cows. Exclusively for the BoerenBed
guests, there is one milking cow who can be milked daily, by hand.

The Wildakker is owned by Jan and Ina van Egteren and their three children Annemiek, Rik and Nienke.

t must be kept on a lead at all times.
The surrounding area
The vast woodlands of the Veluwe are on your doorstep and are easily accessible on foot or by bike. The well-known National Park De Veluwezoom is a short distance away and from the farm you can cycle to the small, but delightful, Wissel animal park.

Unique to the farm
If you have always wanted to try your hand at milking, now is your chance!
Jan and Ina will gladly provide advice. There is a family-friendly paddock with a pony who loves going for walks. Guests are always welcome to lend a hand (and pick the vegetables for their evening meal!) in the farm’s garden. Ina and her daughters are great horse lovers: pony riding lessons can be arranged.
